Research Center
Research and Development support throughout the total cycle of chemicals application is provided by the Analytical Technical Center (ATC), as part of CJSC “Neftechim Technologies”.
The Analytical Technical Center consists of research workers who have academic degrees in chemistry and technical sciences and also many years’ experience in principal investigation areas and related fields.
The Analytical Technical Center is furnished with state-of-the-art laboratory and analytical equipment that allows to carry out highly sophisticated and thorough research. Favourable conditions and high performance level of scientific research enable young analysts to successfully qualify for a thesis degree.
Principal research activities carried out by ATC as part of R&D support include:
- survey and assessment of oilfield fluids for SRB contamination; elaboration and testing of new bactericide compositions;
- protection of oilfield equipment against corrosion; development and testing of corrosion inhibitors as well as their introduction into the manufacturing process;
- rendering services in crude oil dehydration and produced water treatment; developing, testing and manufacturing various types of demulsifiers;
- control over asphaltene and paraffin deposits; developing, testing and manufacturing asphaltene and paraffin inhibitors and solvents;
- control over scale formation; developing, testing and manufacturing scale inhibitors and dissolvers;
- analysis of oilfield fluids with various degree of contamination using high accuracy state-of-the-art equipment.
The Analytical Technical Center includes Application Chemistry Group that provides:
- field supervision over chemicals supplied to customer’s site;
- on-site selection of chemicals at customers’ oilfields;
- provision of consultations on proper application of supplied chemicals;
- improvement of existing chemical treatment techniques.
